A New Question

The past few days have been quite interesting on in the realm of international relations. We learned about the existence of a second Iranian nuclear facility, capable of making the high grade weapons material they obviously want.

Today, the news has been coming out about Iran test firing short to medium range missiles, clearly a threat directed at Israel and a big middle finger directed at the Western democracies.

Brazil is talking about getting nukes, China is showing off new missiles and Venezuela is in favor of all of it so long as it makes the Americans look foolish.

And make us look foolish it does, while our Utopian Dreamer in Chief waxes on and on about a world free of nukes, the rest of the world sees the human nature and the state of the world as it really is and is arming itself accordingly.

The worls has also apparently lost faith in the United States. French President Sarkozy is openly ripping Obama's UN speech, Irans President nutjob claims the US supports him and British PM Gordon Brown looks sick as a dog every time he stands behind Obama, listening to some speech about sanctions.

The situation on everyone's mind is the supposed showdown between Iran and the United States. I've got bad news friends, that showdown already happened and Iran won. If they are willing to openly admit to the second facility, you know they secretly have much more ready to go. I wouldn't be surprised if the already have all the weapons grade material they need and are close to the warhead/trigger system needed to mount a hot warhead to a new medium range ballistic missile.

The Western world has shown its weakness and allowed an absolute lunatic regime, threatening to obliterate another nation, to develop nukes. That deal is done.

The question everybody should be asking is if Israel, head firmly on the chopping block, should fire up one of its nuclear missiles and preemptivly obliterate Iran.

I say yes.

Israel has beaten back hordes of invaders for more years than any one nation should have too. After the United Nations granted Israel statehood, it promptly abandoned them and became and increasingly anti-Semitic organization, regularly condemning the Jews for not giving up large chunk of their tiny country to the Palestinians, who have no legitimate claim to the area. No such requests have ever been made of Iraq, Iran, Syria, Kuwait, or any of the other Muslim nations that have land that used to be part of the Palestinian Mandate, formerly under British control.

Given the increasing evidence that the United States will abandon them in this conflict, Israel must ask themselves whether any other nuclear power will aid them. India? No, China, Pakistan, North Korea or Russia? Please. That leaves only the British and French to possibly stand up to the Iranians. Sarkozy is a good man but I don't think he has the political capital to reasonably threaten Iran. The French military isn't quite up to snuff at the moment and actually using a nuclear weapon might actually bring about the sixth Republic. France has a sizable anti-French Islamic movement already within its borders and a general weariness to war. As for the British, god bless the Brits but they are already war weary from Afghanistan and have been shamed recently by the poor state of readiness of the military. A recent report showed that the British army was too fat and had not enough warrior spirit to be combat effective. That also leaves them only a nuclear deterrent. Unfortunately, Gordon Brown is near to a vote of no confidence. Unless taking a stand to defend Israel somehow would unify the country around him (highly unlikely) he simply doesn't have enough legitimate public support to even threaten nuclear deterrent.

This is Israels dilemma. One thing that usually weighs in favor of the Jews is that the hostile nations that surround it rarely are on the same page and work together to try and destroy Israel. With a powerful lead nation backed by nukes and without meaningful western opposition however, all the Muslim nations might find this the opportune time to band together and finish off Israel for good.

Israel has long been a military powerhouse but it seems unlikely that they could withstand that assault without significant assistance. That's why they need to remove Iran's nuclear capabilities with one hundred percent certainty. Nobody is absolutely sure how much firepower the Jews have but after all this time it should be assumed they have more than a few nukes. They need to use a couple and eliminate the Iranian threat.

This would predictably cause an uproar from the worlds delusional liberal types and madmen dictators. They hate Israel and always have but all their chattering would amount to just words. As we've seen, the threats of other democracies mean little and tinpot dictators use Israel as a foil for their complaints. They cannot threaten the Jews militarily.

Besides, the Western democracies have only themselves to blame for this. Years of browbeating Israel and placating genocidal regimes has fostered an environment where the leader of a terrorist state could openly develop nuclear weapons while threatening to use said weapons to wipe another nation state off the map all without any significant response from the world at large.

Should a serious conflict arise, nuclear or conventional, the first casualty should be the United Nations. Had they even paid slight attention to their own charter, Israel would not be in a position to fend off another genocidal nation all by itself. It is a shameful dereliction of its fundamental principle, that this exact situation would be prevented. The second casualty should be the liberal world viewpoint. Given a prime opportunity to prove that collective deterrent through institutions and dialogue is more effective than the realist deterrent through military capability and leverage, liberalism has failed miserably. This isn't the first time but hopefully it will be the last. No longer should any realist have to be lectured about warmongering or diplomacy. The majority of this earth is still governed by aggression and the unequal balance of power and we need to stop pretending it isn't. The Western democracies, living in peace with guaranteed liberties, etc. need to accept the fact that at this moment in time, liberty and freedom are the exception not the rule and that it needs to be defended aggressively. If that point has to be made with a mushroom cloud, and it seems it does, I hope it's in Tehran and not Tel Aviv. The world has enough dictators but it's sorely lacking in freedom.

Wow, Just Wow

For many years I've been convinced that the United Nations is only good at two things, hating Jews and spending American money.

Even I was taken aback at the spectacle on Wednesday. That place has officially turned into the Carnival of the Damned. What was the most offensive thing? Hard to say but there are many good choices.

OBAMA'S SPEECH - This narcissistic, condescending diatribe against the American people and their history was frightfully embarrassing and infuriating. Had I not known it was the President speaking I surely would've though that somebody had made the mistake of giving Syria, Somalia, Venezuela or Cuba the floor. Alas no, in one speech Obama managed to - 1. Apologize for the entire American history before he was President; 2. Completely stab the Israelis in the back (go get a hug from the Czechs and Poles) 3. Take credit for non existent legislation and achievements 4. Distort hundreds of years of history and 5. Launch his campaign for EU or UN President.
It was a national disgrace.

OBAMA AND THE UK - Look, I don't like Gordon Brown either but they way Obama treats him and all the Brits is an abomination. The UK and the US have a working relationship that cannot be discarded. When the PM is in New York and wants to meet, you meet. End of story. Obama has already alienated the Israelis, Brits, Germans, Americans and Chinese. As he continues to woo the affection of the worlds worst people, how many allies does he expect to sit around and take his abuse? We are going to be more isolated in the world than we ever were during the Bush years.

GADDAFI - This was equal parts funny and insulting. It was worth having him come here just to listen to him explain how the Jews killed JFK because he wanted to inspect their nukes. You know you're in for some good old fashioned crazy when a leader is introduced as the "king of kings and leader of the revolution." You'd think he'd be a general by now instead of a colonel. Throwing books, hating Jews, living in tents on Trumps lawn. Just awesome.

IRAN - It was nice of the Community of Nations to give Iran a forum to deny the Holocaust again. Claiming it was part of a Zionist trick to get the UN to create Israel was nice, I guess Jews really have been in the movie business forever. It was so bad Israeli PM Netanyahu was forced to scold the General Assembly asking them if they have no shame. Turns out they don't. Kudos to the US, UK, Canada, France, Finland for walking out.

GLOBAL WARMING - Despite having one of the United Nations top climate scientists come to the conclusion that man made global warming doesn't exist they had their propaganda fest anyway. Obama was the chief propagandist but all of it was embarrassing. Anybody who doubts that the global environmental movement is just the new home for old Marxists, socialists, commies, etc. is engaged in willful self denial.

Oh yeah, thanks New York, I'm sure you don't mind footing the bill for all this global community organizing. Just tell Patterson to throw it into the pile of debt he already has. See you next year!

Retard Olympics

This is not to be confused with the Special Olympics. The Special Olympics are a heartwarming event where society's handicapable athletes go to compete, the Retard Olympics are when society's young, angry, spoiled, wanna be activist anarchists and self made hobos go to protest capitalism.

It's a revolting spectacle where hundreds of these incompetents converge on whatever innocent city is hosting the G20, G8 or World Bank, this year it's the G20 in Pittsburgh, and generally cause all sorts of hell, bringing out the riot police and tear gas.

I sometimes wonder what these glittering jewels of stupidity think as they prep for these events. As they pull on their Levi's or Wranglers, maybe a Hanes T-shirt, some Timberland boots and Oakley Sunglasses. Or as they load their piss filled balloons into their JanSport backpacks or as they make their clever signs using a vast array of Sharpies and computer printouts to get the desired message as loud as possible. I certainly hope their hypocrisy is known to them as they get on the plane or bus to take them to these events.

Oh yes, protesting capitalism indeed. Tomorrow I'll be protesting factory farming, better hit a Mickey D's for some Sausage biscuits before I go. When I see one of these fake yuppies wearing hand stitched hemp clothes and holding signs painted in their own blood I will listen, then and only then.

Another thing that convinces me these people are in the padded helmet brigade is their choice of target. Have they seen the G 20 lately? What does it have to do with capitalism or freedom? Lets examine.

Argentina - socialist democracy with authoritarian leanings. Peronist.
Australia - Labor in power (leftists)
Brazil - Worker's Party in power
Canada - socialist democracy
China - Communist
France - socialist democracy
Germany - socialist democracy
India - free market democracy
Indonesia - quasi socialist democracy. military instability
Italy - democracy, questionable stability
Japan - Generally free market democracy
Mexico - corrupt democracy
Russia - sham, authoritarian democracy
Saudi Arabia - authoritarian monarchy
South Africa - socialist democracy, legitimacy & stability issues
South Korea - market friendly democracy
Turkey - authoritarian democracy, stability issues
United Kingdom - socialist democracy
United States - free market democracy (for now)

Gee, where is all the evil capitalism in this group? You have four solid capitalistic societies (US, India, S. Korea, Japan) and two social democracies that have been leaning more free market lately (France, Germany) and one mystery (Indonesia). That's being generous. If you add that up you get seven out of the 20 that actually has a robust free market economy. I suspect that's too generous though as France, Germany and maybe the US are all in a leftward slant, limiting future free market applications.

Do you see what I'm getting at pseudo-anarchists? You complain that a group of people is hoarding the world's wealth at the expense of the people? You may have correctly identified the symptoms but you've misdiagnosed the disease. You're devil isn't Capitalism. Free market capitalism is the greatest wealth generating system the world has ever known creating higher standards of living for all classes. Your devil is the one entity that seeks to regulate and control capitalism for its own personal gain; Leftist Governments.

You've got all the right targets but you're sending them the wrong messages. Go get yourself some Starbucks, recharge and refocus on the real enemy.

also - retard olympics is the more aggresive cousin of burning man, see previous posts for more info.

An Unpleasant Commun

Finally, it seems as if Obama's laser beam like focus on failure and ineptitude is finally paying off for the United States.

The reports coming out of the United Nations is that any agreement on a ineffective climate change pact to replace the also ineffective Kyoto Treaty is probably not going to happen.

The reason? The Obama administration is too focused on passing socialist healthcare to pay any real attention to a socialist energy tax and cultural modification that is disguised as climate change.

Praise Jesus! I guess it was only a matter of time before rampant socialist ideology in the Executive would pay off, who knew it would be one radical agenda item blocking the other?

The end result could be a failure on both fronts. The healthcare debacle seems destined to end in failure, or at least failure wrapped as success. However, Obama shows no inclination to simply let it go and move on to other things, like climate fraud.

The Europeans are so pissed that they're claiming that the United States is a bigger obstacle to climate rescue than the Indians or Chinese. Right. 300 million of the cleanest living people in the world are the problem. Just because India and China are in large part filth spewn ghettos with no industry to speak of doesn't mean they're clean. Remember Slumdog Millionaire? Where the little kid jumped in the delta of s***? No why that movie couldn't be made in the US? Because we don't have festering rivers of feces permeating the countryside. Once India and China work out plumbing and ghettos bigger than many US cities, then they can officially be part of the solution. Until then, part of the problem you go.

Saturday Night Lights

"And on the sixth day, the good Lord stopped to look at his work and said 'Go Cuse'".

Maybe I'm not much of a theologian but if I'm not mistaken the Orangemen did in fact get their first win this year over Northwestern.

They did it in very un-Orangemen like fashion as well, with the offense. Duke carpetbagger Paulus went off for 346 yds, 2 TD, 1 INT. Mike Williams was the happy recipient of most of that, collecting 11 catches for 209 yds and 2 TD's. All you NCAA fantasy players need to the waiver wire on Monday and grab you some Williams.

The much improved defense got torched though. At one point Wildcat QB Kafka was an unsightly 32 of 35. He finished 35 of 42 for 390, 3 TD's, 1 INT. I know they are a run and shoot team but holy god that's awful D.

But I don't care. It's just nice to see SU get a win against somebody that isn't Buffalo or Notre Dame (oooh, does that still hurt Golden Domers?). Next week the Orange try to even their record at 2-2 in the Dome against Maine.

--------------------------------------

In other news, the Colorado Buffaloes held back the Hawkins Doomsday Countdown another week by beating Wyoming 24-0. While I'm happy that the Buffs got a win, I feel that everybody involved in that game gets a personal loss because of the uniforms. I don't know if it was throwback week or something but those jerseys would make the old school Broncos stomachs roll just a bit.

-------------------------------------

Mojo's personal University of choice, Colorado State University - Pueblo, handily defeated Chadron State 28-17, snapping Chadron's 28 games winning streak in the RMAC. Nice work.

Every Chamber A Winner!

Watching the Democrats in Congress is a lot like playing Russian Roulette except you have no chance to win. Lets examine the chambers:

1. Cap & Tax
2. HealthCare
3. Student Loans
4. Nationalized Auto
5. Nationalized Financial
6. Slash National Defense

Oh boy, spin that chamber and fire away. Maybe ending up like Christopher Walken at the end of the Deer Hunter would be sweet relief.

For the rest of us lucky souls who have to deal with this, all these rounds are national disgraces to some extent. The decision to completely screw Poland and the Czech Republic by denying them basic security from an increasingly KGB-esque Russia was morally indefensible, short sighted and will boomerang on the United States. If Russia is a date rapist then the United States just hopped in the van and voluntarily took the roofie. You'll see what I mean soon enough.

That awful decision also masked another awful decision, the national government taking control of all student loans by 2010.

That's right all. No other alternatives allowed by law.

Now this is mathematically idiotic because the government has no money to lend anybody. We can't even pay our own bills. It also fails to make any sense to set up a system where every tax payer has to assume the risk of every student loan made in this country. How is a system where one group of people has to fund the loan, then pay back the loan, while assuming all the risk feasible? It isn't. And all you people who think that the government controlling interest rates will keep costs down, I would advise you to examine how the government treats people when it is in complete control over the relationship. What do you think will happen when the fed is really short on cash? You get a bump in rates, that's what and you have nowhere else to go. They can promise otherwise but we know from welfare, Medicaid, Medicare, and the bank bailouts that the government lies. Those lies never result in less money for them.

If you need a specific example, the bank bailouts are a good one. Many of them are now back on solid footing and want to pay off their bailouts and take back control over their companies. Obama won't let them out until he is good and ready. It's like dealing with the Mafia.

The other massive problem with the nationalization of student loans is a cultural one. All of these young impressionable minds are already going off to places where they will be fed a steady stream of leftist ideology with no counterweight and these loans insidiously reinforce that indoctrination.

Absurd you say? A loan is just a loan, who cares who gives it? I disagree. This new plan is another attempt to fundamentally alter the government/citizen relationship. Historically and constitutionally, the citizen is always the independent variable that is controls the relationship, using the government on a as needed basis and only in specific roles defined by our founding documents and subsequent laws. Essentially, the government had little to no proactive power to interfere with the individual. The government had to wait around until petitioned for action. If none was forthcoming, then the government had little to do.

This nationalizing of loans, along with most other Obama ideas, reverses that relationship. The government has now put itself in the power position to dictate terms of behavior to the individual, all individuals, without their consent (or even consultation) and before any citizen initiative is orchestrated to request such a thing. It creates a culture where preemptive government intervention in an individuals life is an accepted practice. The citizen is now forced by his own government to come to the State, hat in hand, to ask for the funds to pursue their future. With all this talk of eliminating government waste in healthcare and the military, we never hear about making higher education more affordable by eliminating wasted funds. The skyrocketing costs of education will force more and more people to the State looking for money to achieve the American dream. By focusing this effort on people at their most influential time is a carefully designed plan to get as many people on board with the nanny state as possible. That generation will then pass it on to their kids, then it will simply be the norm.

Look at the entire public school system. The State is now responsible for:

1. Busing you to and from school
2. Feeding you
3. Educating you with a curriculum of their design
4. Assessing your ability (standardized tests)
5. Regulating college admissions
6. Controlling student loans

Where exactly in this process is individual liberty or resposibility? Or the role of the family?

I suppose you get to choose what leftist University you attend, so long as the government office approves of your choice and gives you the cash. Otherwise you are controlled by the State from K through 12, into higher education, from sunrise to sunset. Add to this the effort to destroy vouchers, home schooling, etc. and the liberals are trying to create an absolute monopoly of thought.

Big Tobacco was raked over the coals for supposedly pandering to kids (Joe Camel) an unhealthy product. Well, I would argue liberal education is far more dangerous than smoking. Our kids are getting dumber and dumber by the year and Big Education unions refuse to address the issue. They would rather fight over evolution vs. creation and keeping their pensions and tenure. Who cares if little Johnny can't read or write, at least he'll know that his teacher is well paid for nine months of work and that there is no God.

Wanna spin it again?

2010 United States Senate - CO

In a recent poll by Rasmussen now shows Aurora City Councilman Ryan Frazier with a 1%(40-39) lead over incumbent Democrat Michael Bennett.

This poll was taken on September 9th. A previous poll by PPP on August 14-16 showed Bennett with a 5% advantage (38-33).

This is meaningful for a few reasons. First, it shows a steady climb by Frazier. Relatively unknown outside the Denver area, Frazier has made a number of stops along the font range to gain better name recognition. It appears to be working. I suspect if you had access to the deeper polling statistics, you would see quite a jump in popularity in the Colorado Springs area along with smaller but apparent increases in approval in Pueblo/Huerfano County but that's just personal speculation. Second important factor is that Bennett is stuck around 38% in all the polls. This could be indicative that the low 40's/high 30's is his ceiling for popularity. If so, that means game over. Lastly, Frazier rival Ken Buck has not been able to make any headway against Bennett, consistently polling 5 to 6 points behind. He may have found his popularity ceiling as well.

There are still two unknowns for Frazier. As of yet, I haven't found any polling for a Frazier/Tidwell primary or even a Bennett - Tidewell general election. He must not have actually filed yet.

Jane Norton has filed and a one day poll shows her with a nine point lead over Bennett. This is bad for Bennett but no really enlightening for the Republican primary. She hasn't gone out to give speeches yet as far as I know, so she is just polling on name alone at this point.

A Fine Crop Of Irony

If you've been listening to talk radio lately you have no doubt heard about the plight of the farming community in the Fresno area.

Apparently the irrigation pumps are considered a threat to some species of fish in the area so the federal government, no doubt led by the radical environmentalists at the EPA, have shut off all the water to the farms.

This has been going on all summer and by all accounts the farms are just being torched up.

Now, the stupidity of the situation is clear. Under no circumstances should the national government be crippling an entire industry, causing 40% unemployment in the area all to save some little minnow. This is a classic example of big government run amok, bowing to pressure from a special interest group and making decisions that are both counter-intuitive and have an overall negative impact on the society as a whole.

While I'm on the side of the farmer I must confess that I find it very difficult to generate much sympathy for them.

The farming industry has always been in concert with the national government, lobbying for subsidies and trade protections, etc. Hell, the government made many farmers rich by deciding to turn corn into ethanol fuel. The price of corn skyrocketed and the money rolled in. No matter that ethanol is a fluke fuel that in no way can replace traditional gasoline, it was just a gift to farmers.

Did it not ever occur to the farmers that if the government can give you your livelihood they can also take it away? Apparently not.

Worse yet is that this is happening in California. The Golden state is ground zero for radical environmentalism. Despite years of proof that these people are destructive and heartless when it comes to human beings, the voters of California keep sending wave after wave of radical leftists to all levels of government. Boxer, Pelosi, Feinstein, etc. are all very active and committed liberals. They support these kind of insane rules and regulations that place a small fish in a higher status than the working farmer.

The situation is thick with irony. All of these people who now feel so attacked by their federal government are probably the same people who applaud the government destruction of the banking industry, the auto industry, big energy, big tobacco, big pharmaceutical, the military, etc. Do these same farmers now cheer the Feds planned destruction of the healthcare industry while cursing their own fate all the while?

While this situation is no doubt painful for many people, some of who are assuredly innocent of supporting such actions previously, it may also be a necessary evil for California. This is the scourge that your state is hell bent on unleashing on the rest the country and now you want to cry when your own snake came back to bite you? I think not.

You take whatever poison you get and learn the lesson well. Maybe next time one of your elected crusaders wants to stifle humanity to save a field mouse or dust mite you can take the proper corrective steps and cut them down at the knees like you're supposed to.

The Proof Is In The Corpse

The sun was a little less bright, the air had an burning acidity to it and dark shadows fell upon the good people of this nation.

That's right folks, Jimmy Carter entered the political scene escorted as usual by his twin call girls Failure and Weakness.

Not content to dwell on his own miserable failures as both a President and human being, Peanut Jim surveyed the world from high upon a perch in his own personal delusion, saw robust debate and decided to lay waste to all in his path.

Removing the condescending veneer of semi-civility most leftists use, Jim confidently opened up with both barrels and labeled the anti-Obama conservative movement as being overwhelming fueled by racism. Then he slandered the entire south and all non-liberal whites as racists. Up until this point most leftists had couched their claims of conservatives being racists by stating that it was some smallish percentage or just the talk show hosts. Jim spoke what they all really feel, that all anti-Obamanites are in fact closet racists, emboldened by the sheer numbers involved in their demonstrations of hate.

Apparently being the worst President in the history of this country, including poor William Henry Harrison who died in a month and Nixon who was impeached, wasn't enough for Jim. He has decided to further demean the office of the President and his own woebegone status in the world while in his retirement as well. All that was missing was one of his trademark anti-Semitic rants, a martini with no olive, how sad.

But Jackass Jim wasn't really making a statement about race or conservatism. No, his remarks were really only about one thing, the end of real debate.

Now that a liberal of his status has gone on the record with this nonsense, other minor leftists have taken the cue and started their own crooked refrains, mostly involving South Carolina's own Jim Wilson and his infamous, and accurate, cry of liar. Single A propagandist (disguised as a working girl, per usual) Maureen Dowd, always engaged in a one woman journalistic paralympics, actually put forth the idea that when Wilson said "You lie!" he really meant "You lie, boy!". This was her sole support of her vast racist conspiracy. A doctored phrase. Even for today's media that is shameful.

This cacophony of slander has ended all legitimate debate over healthcare in this country. Probably all other issues as well since this tactic will surely be used regularly now that the foundation of lies has been set. Leftists know that there is no defense against the charge of racism. Say nothing and you look guilty. Defend yourself and you look more guilty. The looming debates over Cap & Trade, Amnesty and more Stimulus Packages should be short, ugly and unproductive.

So too the sides are now clearly set and the real fight is on. The Democrats have their socialized medicine plan (the House plan. The Baucus thing is a red herring) and a smear campaign against all us Nazi's, Mobsters & Racists. Hell lets finish the list you know it's coming, Bigots, Misogynists and Homophobes. Republicans and conservatives have the American people and superiority of ideas on their side. How can I say Republicans have the American people? Because Democrats have all the votes they need on their side of the aisle, if the American people were on their side this legislative abortion would already be law.

I for one say good. Finally. We can all drop this absurd pretense that Democrats ever wanted input from Republicans or constituents. They couldn't even convert Olympia Snowe for gods sake. You could talk her into a Red Revolution if you threw in a .001 cent tax break on lobster farming. But now shes sees that she was just being used as window dressing to provide legitimacy and cover for liberals when their plan fails. They always like to hide their massive failures behind the veil of bipartisanship. Such a thing should not be contemplated in something this important, foxes cannot reconcile with hens. There is no compromise between lions and lambs.

Just make sure you're a lion.

The Real Tragedy

By now, all Internet savvy folks have heard about the disgraceful ACORN videos where employees are shown trying to help a whore and her pimp commit tax fraud/election fraud/mortgage fraud/human trafficking/backdoor political dealings/etc. as they try and buy a home, use it to run a whore house staffed by under age illegal immigrants.
(if you haven't seen the videos, go to BigGovernment.com)

This scandal has now spread to four cities thanks to the recent efforts of San Bernadino, CA. Apparently, the good ACORN employees weren't content to simply be as corrupt as the good ACORN'ettes in DC, Brooklyn & Baltimore. No, no. They took it to a whole new level by claiming that they regularly meet with Senators, Congressman, Assemblymen, etc. regularly. One thing they claimed to meet on was socialized medicine. This is a problem since ACORN claims to be a non-partisan, community outreach group that currently enjoys tax exempt status. Being outed as a far left organization working exclusively for liberal Democrats, including Lib-in-Chief Obama, could get them into a a real bind.

But who cares about ACORN or its employees. I hope these fraudulent philanthropist, fifth column operative scumbags end up renting and lose their health insurance. It would be a fitting end for a motley crew.

The real victims of these disgusting revelations?

The good people of El Salvador.

They were just sitting there, minding their own business, doing whatever you do in El Salvador and suddenly, Glen Beck, FOX News and all conservative blogs are dong stories on boatloads of 13 year old El Salvadorian prostitutes being used to staff taxpayer subsidized whore houses.

El Salvador is like most of the rest of South America; it doesn't get much press unless somebody finds oil, cocaine or there is a communist revolution going on. I'm sure the El Salvadorian Chamber of Commerce would prefer any of those things as opposed to being linked to this nonsense.

Being the benevolent world observer, schooled in both politics and media, that I am; I have a few suggestions to help poor El Salvador shake this horrible association and reinvigorate tourism. Turning a positive into a negative.

"El Salvador - Our Whores Are Long in the Tooth and We're Damned Proud."
"Roman Polanski and John Mark Carr agree, El Salvador is no Philippines."
"All the Spanish, None of the Mexican!"
"Pimping Belize Since 1896"
"El Salvador - Rejecting Horchata Like Jesus Intended"
"El Salvador - Now With Tons of Blow!"*

There you go friends, enjoy the flood of tourism and all the wealth that goes with it. Just keep an eye on those kiddies allrighty? Nobody likes to have egg on their face.

* Worst case scenario. Includes a war with the Colombians & Mexicans.

College Football Notes

thoughts from Friday night & Saturday's action
COLORADO
Somebody up in Boulder needs to heat up the Doomsday clock on the Dan Hawkins era because it's getting perilously close to midnight.
The Buffs week one loss to the Colorado State, while infuriating to alum and boosters, was at least tolerable. The game was competitive and CU showed some promise in Hawkins fifth year on the job. What happened Friday in Toledo was an embarrassment. CU was completely shamed in every aspect of the game. The defense was particularly atrocious. After CU had gotten a score, turnover, score, they had the Rockets in a third and six situation, leading only 37-24, deep in their own end. A stop would've given CU the ball in good field position, all the momentum. A TD would've made it 37-31 and CU would've been rolling. So what happens? The QB runs untouched up the middle for a 60 yd.+ TD run. Pathetic.
The only thing that might save Hawkins job is that schools are broke right now and can't really stomach the financial hit it would take to get rid of a coach. If CU keeps getting outclassed by mid major, small schools though they might do it anyway.

SYRACUSE
Syracuse is clearly a far superior team than the ones dragged out and shot during the Greg Robinson debacle. A game and a half into the season though, it is clear what the Achilles heel will be for this team and surprisingly enough, it isn't the complete lack of defense.
The big problem is that the Cuse just can't throw the ball down the field. I don't know if it is because the WR's can't get open or Paulus doesn't see them. I fear that the real reason is that Paulus doesn't have the arm to throw it deep with any consistency. If he has the arm then he can work on the rest of his game but if he's just a cunny thumber then we can look forward to 25 more bubble screens a game and a complete waste of Mike Williams comeback year.

Three Monuments of Ineptitude

Monument #1 - French President Sarkozy
Apparently, French President Sarkozy has decided to throw good money after bad all in the name of mythical green mandates and equality of trade restrictions. After imposing a heavy carbon tax within France's borders, Sarkozy has decided to add a massive carbon tax to all imports as well. Makes sense, after you cripple your own nations internal growth potential, why not cripple the incentive for other countries to explore opportunities in the French market. it's only fair. Good thing it's for a worthy cause, oh wait that's right, it's to feed the liberal church of the environment. Oh well, I'm sure the French won't mind extending the recession a few years to placate lunatics.
full story here

Monument #2 - ACORN
ACORN was busted today for trying to help an undercover journalist posing as a prostitute file fraudulent tax returns so she could get a home loan so she would have a place to operate her brothel staffed by underage illegal El Salvadorian immigrants. ACORN, which supposedly helps low income people find housing, has fired the two employees hoping this will all go away. It won't. Barak Obama's pet group, under the guise of community outreach, regularly uses taxpayer money to engage in voter fraud, tax fraud and apparently human trafficking, should the need arise. This group is a criminal organization, less compassionate than the mafia, dedicated to a leftists overthrow of the Constitution and operates with the blessing of the President of the United States. Shameful.

Monument #3 - Tennessee Titans
The Titans lost tonight's game in overtime because, for reasons unknown, they lost their nerve in the fourth quarter. They had been pressuring Big Romantic Ben all night and Pitt had only scored seven points. After taking a 10-7 lead however, Tennessee suddenly went prevent defense for the end of the fourth quarter and all of overtime. At no point did this strategy work. The Titans suddenly timid defense was shredded by the Pitt aerial attack and the game was over. Making matters worse, not only did Tennessee blow the game, Pitt didn't cover the spread. I am bitter.

Sometimes The Truth Is Worse

After reading Max Baucus's absurd health care proposal earlier today, something about it stuck in my brain and bothered me for the rest of the day. I couldn't figure out what exactly but it wouldn't go away.

Later tonight, when I was reading the transcript of the Obama speech, going over the same lines, same spin, same lies, one lie stood out above the rest; the one where Obama promises not to add to the deficit with a new healthplan.

This lie stood out because it is such a mathematical impossibility that it's hard to believe Obama keeps using it in high profile speeches.

Then I got to thinking that maybe Obama means it and if so, that is far worse indeed.

I get the feeling that he may think he can pay for it because after hearing his speech and seeing what Baucus put in his report on how to raise funds for the plan it is becoming increasingly clear that the massive changes in healthcare will be secondary to the primary objective which is the complete and total obliteration of the American tax code.

All of the proposed schemes that have been proposed by the administration in the Baucus plan are eliminations of tax benefits and reinstatement of the 36 & 39 percent tax brackets. It seems as if every pro-growth, pro-job, pro-consumer tax break that has been passed since Kennedy is on the block. Our progressive tax code will become a purely punitive/redistributive one. Combine that with the massive cuts to Medicare/Medicaid and focus on green jobs, which Spain figured out results in an overall job reduction, and the resulting situation is a scary mix of massive job loss, inflation and a decline in services for the poor and elderly. This will cause a greater dependence on government welfare programs completing the circle that liberals have worked so long and hard to implement.

With all of these massive cuts and tax increases, Obama may actually be able to claim a trillion dollars in savings to even out the books for healthcare. Not that it matters, every dollar the government collects it spends immediately. That's why all our major welfare programs are completely bankrupt.

This isn't really too surprising I guess. All liberal programs and policies are just various end arounds to get a hold of taxpayer money, this might just be the most elaborate, expansive money grab yet.

My Daily Reminder - *Unpleasant Photos*

Somehow, I've managed to carve out a life that includes many a long trip up and down the dusty stretch of Interstate 25 connecting Pueblo and Colorado Springs. The trip south is as delightful as ever but my northern journey home has been compromised.

About 16 miles into my trip, right about when I start my less than safe habit of eating lunch on the highway, I am accosted with the following message:

"You probably never thought about tearing off your own skin, meth will change all of that.", or something close to that.

Awesome!

What could be better? Oh yes, the picture that goes with the message. It appears to be a tub drain, maybe a sink. Either way the drain is surrounded by huge bloody chunks of what I assume is skin and a blood covered razor blade.

Nice! How is that ham sandwich and pomegranate Arizona tea going down? Not great but thanks for asking.

Aside from ruining my lunch, this annoys me on several fronts.

First, how is this not an obscenity? God forbid Coors, Jim Beam, Marlboro or Playboy have a billboard showing a little boozing, smoking or something sexually suggestive. Hell no! Then the morality police start screaming about the children and the degradation of society. Mothers fainting in the streets all over the place, fathers crying about the future with little to no dignity on display. Gimmie a break.

I have daughters and I can easily explain the sight of alcohol, smokes and scantily clad human beings. No problem. How much fun do you think it is explaining away a tub full of blood filled with razor blades? Thanks for keeping Joe Camel away though, that saved me a whole two minutes of easy parenting you hypocritical, condescending jackasses. Why don't you get back to banning dodgeball and not keeping score at baseball games.

Secondly, how is that War on Drugs going? Not good if this is what we're getting down to.

The most infuriating part of this is that I would bet every red nickle I have that we are still spending twenty times more money trying to stop marijuana use than meth. I'm sure this billboard took up no less than than 20% of the Stop Meth budget.

Rather than just being critical, I do have a couple of suggestions. First, how about a little prioritizing? Spend all your money on meth, then when you get that under control move on to heroin, the coke, then crack, then pot, red bull, aspirin, whippets, whatever. Secondly, if you are determined to use this billboard, why not put it in the city where, you know, human beings actually are? This particular billboard is right smack in the middle of nowhere between the other billboards for the local CBS affiliate and The North Pole featuring Santa's Workshop (a local amusement park for those of you non-locals). I'm sure those two groups love the connection.

Look, I hate meth and its user as much as anybody. It/they are more destructive than any other set of drug users. But really, it's bad enough that I can't get a quality cold medicine without 2 forms of ID and a DNA sample because of these societal cancers but now all of us normal folk have to be subjected to this ineffective, borderline obscene billboard and pay for it with our own tax dollars? Shame the devil!

. . . . .

Good news kiddies! I found some pics of this phenomenon to share, imagine these on huge billboards and enjoy at your own peril!

(this is the one we have in Colorado. I guess they have more in Montana.)

(awesome. . . )

(better . . . )

(disco!)

If I don't post for a while it's because I'm busy planting GPS devices in both my daughters skulls. These things take time but pay for themselves in the long run.

Pillars of American Leftists

During the short tenure of this new President I have come to one conclusion that shocks even me.

I am starting to really like full blown, out in the open Communists.

This sounds strange but Marx's army are far less frustrating then your average liberal Statist. At least the Commie has an well thought out manifesto and plan of action, wrong as it is. You can debate and argue with these people because you can argue idea for idea, point by point with some hope of resolution.

Liberals in the United States have no such coherent system of beliefs. They are all over the board, contradicting themselves whenever the need arises. Can their ideology even be measured or classified? We're going to try!

Pillar One: Identity. Identity plays more a role in liberal politics than anything else. Rather than seeing the United States as a county, they see a collection of people defined into various groups of victims and victimizers. They see themselves as champions of the victims. The liberal also believes that people that fall into the victim class cannot help themselves in life. This belief is used to justify the ever intrusive actions of the government and by extension themselves.

SUB Pillar A: Circular Bigotry. Leftists have carved out an amazing niche of racism against everybody. White people (except for enlightened liberals) are by their very nature afraid of and biased against all people of color. All decisions by non liberal whites are viewed from this paradigm and are therefore subject to suspicious interpretation. Minorities are also viewed through the lens of racism. They are seen by the liberal eye as being incapable of fending for themselves in this world. They can only survive with the help of the government when run by enlightened, white liberals. It is a condescending form of racism, viewing entire groups of people as incompetent and helpless. Whenever a minority rises to prominence without liberal help, they are savagely attacked as being Uncle Toms or sellouts of some kind. See Thomas, Clarence. Sowell, Thomas or Estrada, Miguel.

Pillar Two: Class. American leftists have a deep rooted seething hatred of rich people. This is a flagrant contradiction since the liberal ranks hold some of the worlds wealthiest people, a fact often forgot by leftists when raging against big business. This hypocritical belief allows liberal to simultaneously reap the rewards of rich donors while also allowing them to stoke class warfare against other rich people. This is done to solidify a power base. Liberals benefit from class warfare by convincing the larger group of people (not rich) that they are the helpless victims of the smaller group (rich) and that government is the force to relieve them from their imaginary oppression. The American Dream of hard work to create wealth and achievement is considered a myth by liberals created by the rich to keep people from revolting.

Pillar Three: Intention Based Assessment. Liberals, deep in their hearts, know that the policies they advocate are destructive an ineffective. This is why they refuse to argue the merits of them based on actual results. This would destroy them. Rather, they calculate the worth of a policy based on the intended consequence not the actual outcome. This is how glorious failures like the New Deal, Great Society, Medicare, Medicaid, welfare, etc. are all justified and defended. No matter that they have been gross failures, they were intended to help millions of people, therefore they are good. This is also how people like Jimmy Carter stay relevent in liberal circles while JFK's massive supply side tax cut is never mentioned.

Pillar Four: Special Interests. Liberals shrewdly have avoided the label of being in the pocket of special interests while also being completely in the tank for special interests. They do this by re-labeling their special interests as being "of the people". Such as? Big Labor-Labor Unions are supposedly the representative of the working man and liberals say so endlessly. In reality, organized labor makes up less than 20% of the workforce and the Unions themselves act solely as political wings of the Democratic Party. The entire auto bailout was a gift to unions for continued support. Big Education-Teachers Unions and the Department of Education claim to only be interested in providing the best education possible. This is a lie. Both groups are dedicated to obtaining lifetime jobs and pay for their members while creating a monopoly for the public school system. They are viciously against any reforms giving the average person more choices that result in less money for them. Big Media-Despite constant crying about how the media is unfair to liberals, in reality all but talk radio and FOX News are completely in their pocket. They would further eliminate dissent through FCC regulation. Big Environment-The Green movement is a special interest movement worth billions of dollars masquerading as a common good causes. Many green groups even enjoy tax exempt status while flagrantly supporting one political ideology. The green movement is the home of both government funded pseudoscience and displaced Marxists. Big Government-Leftists claim that the government is "our government" and is "for the people". Theoretically true, it says so in our founding documents. But when the government is used as a tool to implement an unconstitutional limitation of basic freedoms, it becomes the largest special interest group in the country and the one liberals are most in the pocket for. The one thing all these liberal special interest groups have in common is that they aim to deprive the average person of freedoms and liberties of choice. They want to force you into their prescribed path.

Pillar Five: Elitism. Liberals think they are better than non-liberals and it can't be argued. They think the general population is too ignorant and misguided to live life for themselves, that's why government must have heavy regulations to keep people in line. That's how a liberal justifies to themselves the incessant tampering in the lives of others, it's for their own good.

SUB Pillar B: Emotion. This permeates all other pillars of liberal belief. That is why debate is so difficult with the Left. When cornered with one hypocritical or contradictory fact, they go to emotion. They will bring up children, the poor, women, racism, bigotry, etc. all in an attempt to create a straw man argument to debate rather than actual issue. This is why there is never any resolution to liberal arguments.

SUB Pillar C: Projectionism. Many of the more unpleasant traits of liberalism, such as racism, classicism or general bigotry, can be seen in the way liberals attack conservatives. They have these traits so close in their own hearts that they assume all others do too. They then label others with them at the drop of a hat. This is useful in trying to determine what liberal are actually thinking.

CONCLUSION: This massive contradiction of thought and belief can make if very hard to deal with these people. All of these factors come and go as needed by the liberal to further their pet cause de jour. What can be gleaned from this? First, liberalism must simply be defeated because it can't be reasoned with. Second, liberalism is an attack on the individual based on fear. Liberal can't handle the responsibility of living in an individual world where they alone would deal with the potential negative consequences of their decisions. That's why they try and group people together into a collectivists commune. Nobody alone can be blamed for a bad decision or suffer it's consequences. It's a cowardly way to hedge your bets against failure. The more people that are involved, the more wide spread the blame, that's why they need to force you into it too.

I'll try and delve further into the liberal mind as inspiration strikes. This is as good a start as any, I suppose.

NFC Preview

NFC EAST: 1) Eagles 2) Giants 3) Cowboys 4) Redskins. The Giants could win the division if they can find another reciever to shot himself in the leg.

NFC NORTH: 1) Packers 2) Vikings 3) Bears 4) Lions. Favre makes a good story but Rodgers makes cheese nation forget all about the Chief Gray Wrangler.

NFC SOUTH: 1)Saints 2) Falcons 3) Tampa Bay 4) Carolina. Saints/Falcons could go either way but we know where Delhomme is going and it aint pretty.

NFC WEST: 1) Seattle 2) Arizona 3) 49ers 4) Rams. I'm betting Leinert has to play for 3 or 4 games this year. Notice they're in second?

DIVISION WINNERS: Eagles, Pack, Saints, Hawks
WILD CARDS: Vikings, Cardinals
NFC CHAMPION: Philadelphia Eagles

SUPER BOWL: Philadelphia Eagles 35 New England Patriots 28.

AFC Preview

Well, I guess all 32 teams don't get a preview this year. I'll start on net years preview right after the pro bowl.

AFC EAST: 1) Patriots 2) Jets 3) Dolphins 4) Bills. If Brady stays healthy there is no way they don't win the division. Jets get a one year boost from the Gray Grizzled Warrior leaving the team. The Bills just suck.

AFC NORTH: 1) Baltimore 2) Steelers 3) Bengals 4) Browns. I'm betting Pitt just can't go through the season unscathed. Big Bens fake date rape accusation was a sign of bad karma. The Browns are one big hot mess.

AFC SOUTH: 1) Colts 2) Texans 3) Titans 4) Jaguars. All four of these teams could win the AFC WEST. Colts win in a squeaker, Schaub stays healthy and LenDale White gets back on the Mexican Rocket Juice.

AFC WEST: 1) Chargers 2) Broncos 3) Raiders 4) Chiefs. Even if Norv Turner seriously screws up in San Diego, they still win the division. All the other three are about the same but the Chiefs are a little more dysfunctional than most.

DIVISION WINNERS: Pat, Colts, Ravens, Chargers
WILD CARDS: Steelers, Texans
AFC CHAMPION: New England Patriots.

Douche on Douche Crime

Well, it's early September and California is glowing orange from the annual arson fest. While I'm simultaneously annoyed that I can smell the smoke all the way in my pristine mountain community, that incidentally managed not to light itself on fire this year, while also admiring how pretty a roaring fire can be, the spectacle got me thinking about another summer tradition; Burning Man.

You know Burning Man, it's the festival where a bunch of burned out beach bums and an assortment of other young, white, patchouli soaked, yuppie leftists gather to "have an art festival" and practice a egalitarian form of "radical self expression" and "radical self reliance". Almost no money is exchanged, rather "artwork" and "food" are traded, barter style, while some goods and services are traded for "favors". The festival itself is held in a majestic place known as Black Rock City. You may know of it by its other name; Dried-Up Lake Bed in the Middle of Nowhere Nevada. This is apparently somewhere near Reno. The festival ends with the burning of gigantic wooden effigy.

Now, if you are thinking to yourself, all this self aware nonsense sounds like an excuse for a bunch of young leftists to kick off the Dockers and get high, have sex and light stuff on fire, you sir would be correct. This is your typical bonfire festival on acid. Although, radical self expression can really encompass any type of hedonistic or exhibitionist behavior, so I guess it isn't all that misleading. I would argue however, that if they just called it the Free Sex, Drugs and Fire Festival it would get more people to go but that's just one mans opinion.

To even the scales a bit, the Burning Man enclave, try to dedicate themselves to other green causes, such as not leaving anything behind, not destroying nature, etc. etc. Combine that with egalitarianism and this is a left wing paradise, no?

Apparently, not.

Burning Man has a arch-nemesis. Mormons? No. Republicans? No! Deodorant? No!

Cooling Man.

Oh yes, you heard it right, gentle friends. Cooling Man.

Apparently, this group of incense burning, zero growth, Walden II replicants think the patchouli soaked, self expressing exhibitionists aren't paying enough attention to their own role in global warming due to the massive carbon footprint caused by lighting a 90 foot wooden man on fire while living like Gypsies in the burned out wasteland in Nevada.

Just to address it, this beef is ridiculous. Global warming is a myth, disproved many times. So that is strike one. And two. As for the environmental damage, really? Have you seen this place? It's a dry lake in Nevada. Lighting it on fire might at least make some glass in the sand, which is better than the nothing there now.

The real story is how these two groups must fight. It must be a sight to see. A bunch of pacifists sending highly passive aggressive emails approved by Al Gore and vast debates over the value of planting trees in sand and buying carbon offsets. One thing is for sure, nothing gets done before noon.

The only thing that could make watching this snake eat its own tail more enjoyable is if a group of those militant treetop living eco-nutjobs from Berkeley went down to ground zero to bust up some skulls, green style.

I would personally plant a tree to support that effort.

(doesn't a neon Burning Man defeat the purpose?)

(beautiful Black Rock City, egalitarian paradise)
